Bob “Bunky” & Teresa “Blinky” Gretton are truly the Dynamic Duo in clowning. Bob is Vice-President of SECA and Teresa is in her 6th term as Exec. Secretary for COAI. The two starred in and produced their own one-hour cable TV show, “Clowning Around with Bunky” from 1982-1988. They also produced and performed in several halftime shows for the Washington Redskins NFL football team. They have appeared on the Comedy Central’s “Daily Show”. Blinky was featured in a segment for National Geographic talking about COULROPHOBIA (fear of clowns). These zany clowns have performed and lectured at many conventions, camps and workshops in both the US and Canada. If you want to know how to work with a partner, just ask them. Their comedy interface will keep you laughing the entire time. They reside in Maryland.
Classes:
Paradeability - A parade performance
is another venue for a clown. Learn the “do’s” and “dont’s”
of that performance. Parade props will be discussed. Tips on hydration, preparedness,
prop construction, parameters, etc., will be covered. Make sure you attend this
class especially if you plan to participate or compete in the parade/paradeability.
Feel free to bring a ready-made parade prop with you for parade-ability.
Working with a Partner – Working with a partner in stage shows, parties, walk-arounds, and parades is doubling your pleasure, but coordinating it takes practice and understanding.
